Job Description Summary:

The Hybrid-Electric team in Munich is looking for a student with a background in Mechanical Engineering to support in the mechanical design and analysis of electrical machines.

The student will be responsible for CAD modeling of electrical machine components and doing static and dynamic finite element analysis.

The student will also be asked to collaborate and present results to the team and other stakeholders.


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Studying a Master's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with CAD packages such as Siemens NX, DS Catia, PTC Creo (NX is preferred).
  • Proficiency with CAE tools such as ANSYS, Nastran, Abaqus, Adams (ANSYS Mechanical is preferred).
  • Previous scripting experience in one of the following: Matlab, Python, VBA, APDL.
  • Fluency in English.

Desired qualifications:

  • Knowledge about electrical machines and/or aviation propulsion.
  • Previous handson experience by fulltime positions, internships or student teams at university.
  • Ability to work in crossfunctional global team in multicultural environments.
  • Selfdirected, highly motivated, quick learner, flexible attitude, strong communication skills.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and be able to communicate them to the team.
  • Keen listener, proven facilitation and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for technology advancement.
