Job Description:


The Junior Human Resources Generalist - HR-Administrator provides operational HR support for DACH (Germany and Switzerland) and is a conduit between local HR and the HRSSC team in Sri Lanka.

The Junior Human Resources Generalist - HR - Administrator will help to deliver a seamless employee experience and ensure that our company values are embedded in everything we do.

The role requires at least 2-3 days a week attendance at the office for various HR admin activities.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Quality checking data in HR system (IFS Thor), highlighting any inconsistencies in data to the HR Shared Services team to rectify issues as they come to light, e.g. incorrect reporting lines, incorrect job titles, etc.
  • Preparing testimonials for current employees and leavers with support from line managers.
  • Maintaining and updating local HR user guides and SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) to support consistent delivery of services at all times.
  • Contribute towards region's continuous improvement of local process maps and HR operational processes, where applicable.
  • Work on global HR projects supporting HR Services Specialist UK and Global HR Shared Services Senior Lead.
  • Assisting local payroll with ad hoc basic tasks from time to time.
  • Organising physical storage of personal files in the HR office.
  • Creating HR & IT tickets and follow up as required relating to onboarding, employee changes and offboarding to support local HR colleagues.
  • Scheduling feedback meetings for colleagues with their managers / HRBPs such as exit interview, probation completions, etc.
  • Maintain local HR company intranet (MyIFS).

Qualifications:


Requirements:


  • 2+ years' experience working in HR Administration or HR Operational roles.
  • University Degree in HR Administration / HR Management or a completed professional training (e.g. Personalfachkaufmann/kauffrau) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong desire to continue to pursue and excel in a HR career.
  • Ability to problem solve and work collaboratively with colleagues across Germany and Switzerland to resolve queries/ issues.
  • Experience working with HR Software and some technical abilities is a plus
  • A team player and strong collaborator, comfortable in peer reviewing effectively.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Language skills:

Native German language essential, both oral and written.

Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written.

  • Comfortable running HR reports from HR platforms.
  • Evidence of selfmotivation and a proactive approach.
  • Great attention to detail with exceptional accuracy skills and must be well organised.
  • Ability to multitask and rise to the challenge of higher volumes of work during peak periods of HR activity and the ability to deal with conflicting priorities.
  • Structured approach towards problem solving, assimilates information and identifies the pertinent points quickly.
