We are a growing team looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics.

You would join our Finance team in the Berlin office.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Accounts Payable Accountant you'll manage the indirect AP function for two German entities.


IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

  • Book supplier invoices in our ERP system, NetSuite
  • Organize and prioritize invoices to pay
  • Process payments to suppliers
  • Reconcile supplier accounts
  • Create and review an aged report for indirect suppliers
  • Process employee reimbursements and travel expenses
  • Keep track of expenditures and analysing actuals vs budget differences
  • Involvement in intercompany processes and reconciliations
  • Monitoring and booking accruals for pending invoices
  • Participation in the monthend closing activities
  • Assistance with external audit requests / internal information requests
  • Creation of process descriptions and process maps for our team routines
  • Active participation in process improvements, automations and standardization
  • Preparation of financial reports and analyses on request

PREFERABLY YOU HAVE

  • Relevant professional experience as an Accounts Payable Accountant
  • Understanding of VAT regulations with regards to Accounts Payable processes
  • Fluent English and B2level German (reading and comprehension)
  • Very good command of MS Excel
  • Experience with an ERP system
