In collaboration with the Fraunhofer EMI, the RTS research group is investigating the resilience of municipalities as part of the HERAKLION project.

The long-term goal is to provide local authorities and emergency services with recommended actions for crisis prevention and management.

To this end, various data sources are used and evaluated in close cooperation with various cities and districts in order to identify possible causalities, for example for the use cases of extreme weather and pandemic, to derive appropriate protective measures.


Tasks:


  • Literature research in the area of resilience assessment and improvement
  • Investigation and development of methods for the determination of resilience measures
  • Documentation of the results on a scientific level

Your profile:


  • You are already familiar with methods of data analysis and evaluation
  • You enjoy programming in the context of relevant scientific issues and have programming skills, e.g. in Python or R
  • You are used to motivated, independent, result
- and team-oriented work

  • Good English and German language skills
