- You research and develop new cybersecurity mechanisms to protect industrial environments, industrial services, and critical infrastructures and apply them in projects with Siemens business units worldwide by developing proof of concepts.

- You publish your research results internally and externally.
- You provide technical consulting and coach stakeholders from Siemens' business units on security topics.
- You collaborate with national and international partners, both, internally and at universities and research institutions.
- You select and supervise students or PhD students.
- You have an excellent Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on cybersecurity.
- You have a strong drive for achievement, a genuine desire to discover and try out new things and are curious about new technologies.
- You have sound knowledge of cybersecurity, distributed systems, software architecture and software development. Knowledge about Internet of Things, edge and/or cloud computing is a plus.
- You demonstrated your ability to conduct independent research through publications in top-tier conferences or journals.
- You have proven experience and deep knowledge in implementing software.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication English skills with the ability to present complex ideas effectively. German skills are a plus.
- You show strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

This job position is not restricted to a specific research topic. We are interested in research that aligns with or contributes to our current security architecture focus areas, e.g., cloud/container/network security, PKI, IAM, zero trust, and/or zero-touch onboarding.
