Structure Designer (d/m/w)

Our Site Engineering IDENTITY:

We are a reliable and competent engineering partner for production.

We have a dedicated interface to the other Site Engineering communities in Augsburg, Nordenham and Stade. Dedicated and diverse multi-skilled teams in different aircraft programs, different components and different engineering functions.

The Site Engineering team is the point of contact for Manufacturing and Manufacturing Engineering for any design issues that cause disruptions to manufacturing.

Supporting manufacturing and assessing defects directly on the component in the hangar. Currently we are preparing for the rate ramp-up in A350.

Your tasks and responsibilities - are our MISSION

Engineering support for manufacturing
Improvements and Design to Cost/ Design to Value: From initial Idea to implementation
Enrich Development and Research & Technology (R&T) with Site (location) Know-How
Support the final assembly line (FAL) and the After-Sales team
Cross Site Collaboration & Harmonization
Creative solutions in the area of: Automation and Digitalization

Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in
Hamburg . Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Airbus Aerostructures includes four production sites in Germany: the headquarters in Hamburg with three other plants in Nordenham, Bremen and Stade where work goes on today on the aerostructures of tomorrow's aircraft.

Required skills and qualifications

Responding to Non Conformities (NCs), Design Query Notes (DQNs), construction deviations within specified time, cost and quality constraints.
Approval of NCs, DQNs and construction deviations with Technical Approver Delegation in place.
Extensive knowledge of Composite Structure Design Engineering is required.
Proficiency with common 3D development tools such as CATIA, VPM, TREND, PASS V2 is desired.
Participate in First Implementation Check and Zone Safety Analysis site visits to the construction site.
Development of improvements to increase efficiency.
