We are offering an exciting opportunity as Director Security & Resilience to be an important part in paving the way for Vattenfall and its customers and partners towards a fossil free future

The role as Director Security & Resilience has been newly established.

You will be part of the BAs staff function "People, Culture & Standards" which is set to provide value across all Business Unites for Offshore Wind, Onshore Wind and Solar & Batteries within the Business Area Wind.

The Staff Function is leading the integration of the management systems (IMS) and supports the business by striking the right balance in standardization and enabling dynamic operations.


Business Area (BA) Wind plays a crucial role in delivering on the strategy of Vattenfall of being fossil free within one generation.

BA Wind is the fastest growing business area in Vattenfall. We develop, build and operate on
- and offshore wind farms in the UK, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and France. In addition, we are also building and operating solar farms and battery solutions in those countries.

As our new Director Security & Resilience you will lead the security work across the Business Area (BA) Wind.

In this capacity you will be the _Business Areas Security Officer (BASO)_ leading a dedicated security organisation responsible for both security and resilience.


Vattenfall and the energy industry are operating in a challenging security environment with a constant need to review and adapt its security posture.

In this role, you will have a direct line report to the Vice President People, Culture & Standards BA Wind and a dotted line (functional reporting) to the Chief Security Officer (CSO), VP Corporate Security & Resilience, Vattenfall.


More specifically you will:

  • Act as overall responsible for Physical, Personnel, Information & Cyber Security, and Resilience (Incident Management, Business Continuity Management)
  • Develop and maintain a competent security and resilience organisation throughout
  • Develop and implement fit for purpose security and resilience governance in compliance with the Vattenfall & BA Management System and national/EU regulations
  • Build and coordinate a comprehensive security program in BA Wind to drive and ensure the implementation of the group SMS, to protect the organization's assets
  • Oversee the daily operations of the company to identify potential security risks and room for improvements in dialogue with the Business Units and Group Security and Resilience
  • Drive the security cycle process including coordination of security and resilience risk assessments, reporting an up to date situational picture to senior executives (BA Wind MT/CSO) and creating the annual security plan
  • Ensure effective business continuity strategies are in place for BA Wind to enable the organization to resist, absorb, recover and adapt to business disruption
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to internal rules and relevant national and EU regulations related to security and resilience including implementation of new legal and regulatory requirements
  • Foster a culture of security and resilience awareness to continuously improve security performance and ensure operations, leveraging on group and BA programs and trainings
  • Represent BA Wind in the Vattenfall Security Council, the highest decision making body for security & resilience in the Vattenfall Group
  • Stay upto date with industry best practices, vendor capabilities, academic frameworks and relevant authorities to sustain a bestinclass and highly innovative security program
  • Ensure any physical or digital security incidents or breaches are managed, evaluated and resolved
  • Manage the budget for security and resilience initiatives
  • Manage a team if 1012 people
Location


Work location can be in Kolding in Denmark, Hamburg or Berlin in Germany, Stockholm in Sweden, London in UK or Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

The role requires regularly travel to our Vattenfall offices.
