Your Role

In line with the Evolution of the Corporate Finance function, the Finance Business Partner (FBP) organization is being set up to drive value creation as a trusted partner for the Business to deliver Symrise strategic goals and dynamic performance management.


The
Finance Business Partner, Global Operations for the Taste, Nutrition & Health Segment will combine Finance expertise and business knowledge to partner on business decision making and negotiations in the areas of Commercial, Operations Excellence, as well as capital optimization and innovation.

Besides, the Finance Business Partner actively manages business data and process flow and provides analytics to support commercial steering and strategic activities.

Partnering with key stakeholders of the Taste, Nutrition & Health Global Operations organization, your main responsibility will include:

Drive operational excellence within Supply Change Management (SCM) Function

  • Establish performance metrics, reporting and monitoring of EndtoEnd SCM activities
  • Set and align SCM reporting standards
  • Production Scorecard, Opex Trackers
  • Financial planning with focus on Investment / Capacity planning and SCM Opex
(a) Drive MTP, Budget & Forecasting Process within SCM, (b) Perform situational and project-based analysis in support with strategic projects or initiatives, (c) Industrial Asset Planning within a 5 Year Horizon

  • Participate in SCM projects to optimize WOC, plant utilization, cost savings, logistics, warehousing savings
Partner with Global Procurement function to develop and execute procurement strategy

  • Work with Procurement to establish an aligned process in handling procurement related data into business processes, e.g., Raw material pricing input into commercial and product creation
  • Establish Financial analysis and reporting to provide insights into Procurement activities. Including (a) Business impact on outlook of Raw Material Price fluctuations, (b) Tracking of procurement targets savings, cost avoidance, etc., (c) Partner on setting up framework to guide "strategic buy", "makeorbuy" decisions and risk mitigation.


  • Financial Planning Processes

  • Guidance on Material related cost assumptions.

About You

  • Finance professional with at least 8 years of professional working experience within a complex global organization
  • Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, experience in a chemical production environment is an advantage
  • Proven experience effectively managing and influencing internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven global exposure and culture awareness
  • Working experience with IT tools
  • BI, Visualization & ETL software
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Tools like MS Excel (including advanced functions) and PowerPoint is required.
  • Strong sense of ownership with a positive "can do" attitude
  • Independent and collaborative working style; strong timemanagement and organizational skills with ability to objectively prioritize
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills, including developing business cases, forecasting, sensitivity analysis, effective data visualization
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control with demonstrated ability to quickly spot issues or errors

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop compelling storylines, to highlight takeaways, and to lead meetings with senior business partners
  • Full professional proficiency in English, both verbal and written
