Scientific lead of a research group (100 %) which conducts research in the following fields:
developing new methods in Explainable AI

- experimentation in explainable AI
- investigating the role of understanding, scaffolding and monitoring in explainable AI

That involves the following tasks:
- independent research activities
- supervision of one PhD student
- networking within and collaboration with the Transregional Collaborative Research Center
- interdisciplinary communication and cooperation
- publication and presentation of results

Employment is conducive to scientific qualification.

Your Profile

We expect
- experience in teaching (independently performed classes/courses with university students)
- scientific work that goes beyond the topic of the dissertation
- very good English skills (written and oral)
- independent, self-reliant and dedicated style of work
- strong organizational and coordination skills
- ability to cooperate and to work in a team

- interdisciplinarity of the research agenda: inclusion of different perspectives, targeted cooperation with other TRR 318 projects
- working program clearly specifying the work packages of the leader and the PhD researcher (for the PhD researcher, the working program must be doable within 3 years)
