Senior Director Advanced Technology Development (M/F/d)


Job Description:


Innovations at the spearhead of semiconductor manufacturing technology from Brooks Automation - set standards with your team for global and future-oriented advanced technology development.

With your team, you will make a fundamental contribution to securing the market position and continued growth of Brooks in the field of contamination control.

Your mission is to advance the technology leadership position of Brooks Contamination Control Group with your global development team.

You will lead the expansion of the team to create the balanced portfolio of skills required to establish long term technology roadmaps.

Working closely with the engineering team you will deliver novel and patented solutions to our customers high-value problems.

What You'll Do.

  • With your team you are the owner of our longterm product development roadmap. You will establish key areas for innovation and manage the journey from idea to new product development
  • A global outlook is required, coupled with the ability to communicate our technology vision to key customers
  • Working closely with engineering and product teams you will drive the technology direction the contamination control group will take in order to stay ahead of our competition
  • Building and developing a team to support our technology leadership position and extend this into the future by identifying and executing advanced technology directions
  • Identifying innovative approaches and solutions to our customers high value problems
  • Required skills are persistence in meeting goals coupled with flexibility to find a path around obstacles and the ability to keep the team focused on meeting the customer's expectations. The individual needs to be a process champion to ensure programs are not only completed but also that the resulting products are robust.
  • Of particular importance is the ability to communicate and work crossfunctionally on new product development projects with accelerated schedules. The Senior Director will work together with the Engineering and Product Team to align priorities establish Product Roadmaps and meet Business goals.
  • The interfaces (local engineering teams, product owners, operations, service, supply chain, & compliance) are optimally supported by you and your team, thus creating the conditions for further growth of Brooks CCG.
  • You will lead with commitment and motivate, coach and develop the employees in your team
What You'll Bring.

  • MS or PhD degree in relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
  • Strong leadership skills with a minimum of 5 years experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams to accomplish aggressive goals. Including working across multiple global sites.
  • History of developing new products from concept through production using a stage gate process. Six sigma and DFSS experienced a plus.
  • Experience in selecting and working with outsource partners.
  • Must be able to establish working relationship with crossfunctional colleagues.

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate, develop and manage team members. Also recruits and builds team.

As a member of the CCG leadership team, he/she will participate with other managers in establishing the organization's strategic plans and objectives while ensuring that structures, processes, and systems align to support those objectives.
