As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for a


Laboratory Operations Quality Management Lead (M/F/d) to join our

Neu-Isenburg office in Germany or, alternatively, Carrugate in Italy (all locations hybrid work, further UL sites available)


What you'll learn & achieve:


The Laboratory Operations Quality Management Lead will lead the design, development and execution of programs in support of the Laboratory and Operations strategy and the UL Solutions business objectives.


In more detail:

  • Support optimization and standardization of bestinclass processes, tools, systems, documentation and governance for key areas of focus
  • Focus on the refinement of the UL Solutions Quality Management System
  • Always keep safety at the forefront of all work activities.
  • Participate in the development of clear policy and process documentation, supporting global process standardization, efficiency and minimized compliance risk
  • Help streamline the Management Review process, increasing efficiency and making it an effective tool for strategic operational planning
  • Support clear communication of quality related topics, getting critical information to the right people
  • Utilize knowledge of Accreditations, Schemes, Programs and UL Solutions policies to help reduce risk of noncompliance
  • Help reducing defects, rework and corrective actions in the local laboratories. Evaluate repeat corrective actions and collaborate with Laboratory staff and other teams to create effective resolution and process improvement. Engages with site Quality staff to assist with audits and to support nonconformance resolution as needed.
  • Participate in regular business reviews with Regional Laboratory and Operations leaders
  • Stay informed regarding relevant requirements changes and work with Operations to ensure awareness and ongoing compliance

What makes you a great fit:

  • Generally 8 Years or more of related experience or demonstrated competency
  • Yellow or Green Belt training preferred
  • Ability to build networks across a matrix organisation in order to enable and promote operational success
  • Functional and technical knowledge and competence to perform at a high level of achievement
  • Good understanding of tools and systems in use by Laboratory and Operations/ other business and functional teams
  • Able to provide clear, impactful, actionable communications to stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
  • Proven ability to work with diverse, global teams
  • Experience in leading change initiatives
  • Capability to leverage and embrace diverse knowledge and expertise of various teams for solution finding
  • Very good English language proficiency, further languages like German/ Italian/ Polish or Danish are a plus
