ABOUT THE ROLE


Transparency International Secretariat is currently seeking a
_Policy & Advocacy Coordinator__ _
_- Corrupt Money Flows__ (M/F/d)_** to join the Global Policy & Advocacy Team.

The role will be part of the dynamic Global Anti-Corruption Consortium initiative as well as a new project aimed at tackling illicit financial flows.

Thematically, they will primarily contribute to Transparency International's work on dirty money.


Under the guidance of the Research & Policy Expert - Corrupt Money Flows, the Policy & Advocacy Coordinator will leverage research findings as well as evidence generated by cases uncovered by investigative journalists to develop progressive policy recommendations.

They will generate ideas and help deliver advocacy strategies to turn these recommendations into meaningful commitments and actions.

They will also work closely with national chapters to support their advocacy and/or enable them to join in global advocacy as part of assigned projects.


Salary Band:
according to TI-S internal salary structure; for this position corresponding to band PF2 salary starting EUR 42,000 gross per year depending on relevant experience

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE
The Policy & Advocacy Specialist - Corrupt Money Flows will:

  • contribute to the development of policy recommendations and influencing strategies to advance Transparency International's advocacy and campaigns on dirty money
- track the work and activities of key targets, assessing and helping to create advocacy opportunities in this area
- help maintain or build relationships with key stakeholders
- create advocacy materials, including policy briefs, papers, speeches and articles
- coordinate national chapters' participation in global policy and advocacy work on dirty money as well on support case-based advocacy planning
- contribute to the planning and tracking of progress, such as through fundraising concept notes and active engagement in organisational monitoring cycles
- communicate Transparency International's positions and messaging to internal and external audiences, as necessary


CANDIDATE PROFILE
- university degree in public policy, political science, international affairs or another relevant field

  • 5+ years of professional experience in anticorruption, antimoney laundering, tax justice or a closely related field
- experience in advocacy, lobbying or public affairs a strong advantage
- excellent analytical skills, with demonstrated record of evaluating policies and designing recommendations
- strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- high level of intercultural competence, diplomacy and political sensitivity
- excellent verbal and written communication in English required
- strong organisational skills and ability to effectively manage priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- demonstrated flexibility, initiative and creativity
- commitment to the values and principles of Transparency International
