Jimdo was founded in 2007 with the mission to unleash the power of small business owners and help them thrive.

Our founders realised that small businesses are the backbone of the global economy but are far less catered to than larger businesses.

Jimdo set out to help these organisations by offering a wide range of tools to help boost online and digital presence.

We are available in 6 different languages today, and helped build over 15 million websites, ranging from online stores, blogs, business websites, and more.


We are about 250 people strong today, with a multinational team, but with a strong anchor in the DACH region.

It's an exciting time, as we are about to launch several new products to support the micro-businesses of the world; tools such as Compliance services, CRM systems, and many others that will help transform the way we support our customers.

Your Mission:

As a User Researcher you are responsible for driving customer-centric decision-making at Jimdo.

You will conduct qualitative and quantitative research to provide a deep understanding of the behaviors and needs of microbusinesses and self-employed.

This role has a strong Research Oprerations focus.

Besides conducting research, you will enable researchers and non-researchers to do research smoothly and be constantly in touch with our customers by owning the end-to-end participant experience.


Responsibilities:


  • Plan, design and carry out qualitative and quantitative research projects aimed to provide actionable insights to improve our customer journey and drive the right company strategy
  • Effectively involve stakeholders in all relevant stages of the research process to increase understanding and challenge assumptions
  • Identify and recruit research participants, schedule sessions and manage incentive distribution, own and constantly improve recruiting processes and our internal Jimdo User Panel
  • Manage and improve our research and participant database as well as insights repository
  • Provide and constantly optimize templates, tools, and trainings to guide product teams, designers and other stakeholders to do their own research
  • Develop and enhance processes and formats to bring everyone at Jimdo close to their customers
  • Communicate and establish customer research results across the company

Requirements:


  • 13 years experience in User Research, Market Research or a related field
  • Background in usercentered product development, User Experience, Design Thinking or Marketing
  • Handson experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative research projects endtoend inhouse and together with external agencies (e.g. user testing, ethnographic research, survey design, competitor analysis etc.)
  • You are strong at communicating user needs to stakeholders and acting as a persuasive advocate for those needs
  • Highly organized, handson, detailedoriented and forwardthinking
  • German native speaker and English fluent
