A Snapshot of Your Day

Based on requirements from Production/Engineering/Quality/EHS you will drive investment projects through all relevant stages (from the approval process and concept-phase all the way to implementation).

In the role of the project leader, you will closely collaborate with suppliers and colleagues from production and related departments.

Budget, costs, and timeline are always under your control while you report directly to factory management.

Besides project execution you ensure and nurture the exchange of experience among other technology experts in the cluster and beyond.

You monitor technology trends and developments and consider those in your daily business.

How You'll Make an Impact

Being responsible for bigger investment projects which contribute to the growth plans in our location in Nürnberg
Being in the lead of investment projects and drive them in close alignment with process owner, master craftsmen, planning department and manufacturing head
Deriving project plans for purchasing/maintaining/overhauling of manufacturing equipment and machines including the definition of technical specifications
Independently arranging the purchasing of manufacturing equipment and machines in scope of a defined budget
Organizing and orchestrate (pre) acceptance tests for new equipment/machines as well as project work packages executed by external suppliers
Planing and organizing the realization of technical and logistic improvements as well as defining technical specifications for reconstruction and bigger maintenance activities
Identifying and supporting innovation projects in the area of production technologies as well as planing and controling civil works and activities of external companies, while you actively drive and nurture bestpracticesharing
Creating business cases and decision papers for technical equipment/machines

What You Bring

Degree (Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical engineering), alternatively apprenticeship master craftsmen or technologist with job experience > 5 years in manufacturing environment
Perennial (> 5 years) specific experience in leading of big investment projects (preferred in the manufacturing environment of large power transformers)
Knowledge in transformer manufacturing processes (Winding, drying, core stacking,), in the area of building technologies is advantageous
Autonomy and entrepreneurial thinking in the given area of responsibility
Wellfounded experience in LEAN/structured process improvement and bestpracticesharing
Intercultural competence and willingness to work in an international environment
Language skills: English and German, Croatian (advantageous)
