You'll join more than 5,000 CARIDIANS already working on the latest vehicle features and functions like automated driving, state-of-the-art charging technology, as well as a new digital ecosystem.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Build and manage the strategy for engineering operations topics: logistics, workshops and labs space planning, vehicle fleet management, purchasing processes and organization, test infrastructure storage and physical space strategy for operations, and more
Leading the engineering operations organization which includes about 20 heads currently, over 50 external heads, and will grow larger in the near future
We are in the early stages: you will need to establish the tools and processes for all the above topics
Provide make/buy recommendations for your topics, you will be the decision maker, you will drive the solutions to conclusion and make iterative improvements
Lead both the administrative as well as technical teams responsible for ensuring that prototype vehicles are ready for use by the engineers around the company every day
Own the health and safety, high voltage safety, and other topics relevant to running of workshops, labs and operating prototype vehicles
Being the main point of contact for CARIAD management for all topics related to engineering operations.

WHO YOU ARE:

Strong experience in leading and managing teams in this domain.
Deep knowledge of most of the topics mentioned above
Strong leadership skills with the ability to compromise and drive decisions despite many conflicting points of view
Excellent people skills, caring for employees, strong strategic thinking skills
Effective stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives through experience, and presentation of data in a meaningful, easy to understand way.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build productive relationships and work well with people at all levels of an organization
Fluent communication skills in German and English
