As a senior copywriter, you'll join us in Berlin as we embark on this exciting chapter in the continued growth of our business.

We are looking for a talented and motivated VP-level copywriter to join us to shape great user experiences across the web.

You're a storyteller, editor and someone who always thinks about how design and copy will work together.

You'll quickly learn about our audience to create compelling content that empowers and delights users.

As part of the Content Team, reporting to the Content Lead, you will embed into the team ensuring you create content which is clear, consistent and contextually relevant.


Job responsibilities

  • In this VPlevel copywriter role, you will demonstrate your experience and knowledge in the field through your delivery of wellcrafted, considered copy that benefits our customers and business. You will also go one step further, proactively seeking areas for improvement, by communicating across teams to find solutions
  • Write engaging, strategic content across web, campaign and communications for the local market. One day you may be working on creating engaging web copy, the next may be putting together an important communication to go out to our customers, the next helping a colleague hone their copy.
  • Designing content that can be effectively reused in a way that's measurable, consistent, and above all else, beneficial for our customers.
  • Help shape marketspecific content in partnership with stakeholders, always ensuring all journeys are marketrelevant
  • Work with Marketing, Product and Brand incountry and in the central team to help lead design thinking and a customercentric approach to banking
  • Mentor and guide creatives who require development, as well as understanding how to motivate more junior colleagues, ensuring our established and positive team culture continues and helping colleagues become better writers through collaboration and sharing best practice.
  • Create scrollstopping, useful content that will attract, retain and inform our customers

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Native fluency in written and verbal German and professional fluency in English (you will be writing in German).
  • 6+ years of writing experience in the fields of marketing, communications and websites. Your portfolio will be crammed with projects that show how you meet the requirements.
  • Used to working within brand style guides to ensure consistency of content across a business
  • You thrive in a fastpaced environment with frequent changes and you have a strong track record of adapting to change
  • Working with translation teams doesn't faze you. You're aware of content localization best practices and how to maintain a unified voice across different languages
  • You enjoy demystifying complex jargon and language into something everyone can understand while balancing business and customer needs
  • You have experience mentoring and guiding creatives who require development, as well as understanding how to motivate more junior colleagues, ensuring ourestablished and positive team culture continues

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English, German, Journalism, Creative Writing, Human Centered Design or other area(s) of relevant focus
  • Relevant experience in copywriting in a banking or financial industry
  • Experience defining standards and processes
