Division of Pediatric Nephrology at Heidelberg University Hospital is looking for an ambitious biostatistician/biometrician who is interested in contributing to clinical research as part of a network for rare diseases in an international and interdisciplinary field.

Roles and responsibilities:

***- Proactively solve problems of statistical complexity.

  • Analyse biomedical data derived from observational cohort studies, validate statistical output, and accurately interpret and communicate results to nonstatisticians.
  • Contribute in drafting preliminary plans for research projects, providing input and analytical insight on their methodology.
  • Prepare and review statistical content in conference publications, technical reports, and scientific papers.
  • Keep up to date with new clinical research designs and statistical methodology.

Your qualifications:

***- Expertise in computer science applied to statistical analysis: R, SAS, Python.

  • Knowledge in advanced statistical methods, statistical modelling, and multivariate statistics.
  • Knowledge and experience in statistical analysis of small datasets is a plus.
  • Understanding of clinical pharmacology and experience in epidemiological studies are an advantage.
  • Team player with high degree of initiative and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English (minimum C1), knowledge of German is a plus.
  • Experience in scientific writing, able to present results in a clear and informative manner.
