Beschreibung
In order to support the Design office, Airbus Helicopters is looking for aMaster Thesis within angular acceleration measurement and estimation on helicopters (d/f/m):
Context of your mission:
Accelerations provide information about future motion of a body and are therefore necessary to provide damping in velocity control of a body.
For helicopters, common attitude and heading reference systems on small aircraft helicopter linear acceleration along with aircraft attitude and angular velocity.
However, these sensors usually do not provide angular acceleration information. The master thesis is launched to fill this gap.Your location:
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Studying kinematic equations governing an helicopter and the limitations of available sensors
- Developing a method to combine sensors to measure raw angular acceleration
- Developing an estimation algorithm to improve the signal to noise ratio of the raw measurement
- The verification on an helicopter simulator
Desired skills and qualifications:
- You are an enrolled student (d/f/m) in the field of automatic control, Aeronautics, or comparable.
- You have knowledge of algebra, and preferably some Matlab experience
- You are fluent in English &/or German language
