The Position:

We are offering an exciting opportunity as (Senior) Principal Scientist to join the global department Translational Medicine & Clinical Pharmacology (TMCP) at our sites in Biberach or Ingelheim, Germany.

This position can be filled in Ingelheim or Biberach

Tasks & responsibilities:

In your new role you will build an understanding of diseases and drugs through the development and implementation of innovative translational strategies across the entire clinical development pipeline to be "first4patients".
You will support the clinical drug research and development process by strategic planning and execution of data generation, all aspects of data analytics and by developing and implementing translational strategies. Thereby, the specific focus is on biomarker, clinical pharmacology and data analytics.
With your expertise, you will act as representative in clinical development trial and project teams.
You will lead or contribute to clinical development trial and project overarching topics.
In addition, you will act independently and provide advice and functional expertise beyond your area of responsibility.

Additional responsibilities in the Senior Position:

You will act as representative in clinical development project teams for complex clinical development projects.
Furthermore, you will lead complex clinical development overarching topics with various interfaces and stakeholders.
Through providing expert advice and functional expertise you will be an internally and externally recognized expert.

Requirements:

PhD/MD with multiyear experience within the pharmaceutical industry, CROs, regulatory authorities or academic institutions
Demonstrated broad knowledge in the area of retinal diseases
Demonstrated comprehensive experience in retinal biomarker and imaging methodology including technology oversight and competitive landscape relevant for business needs
Broad knowledge of the drug development process required
Mindful of local, global, internal, and external cultures to ensure that messages are received positively and effectively
Ability to proactively identify issues and solutions and to interact with internal and external bodies on TMCP issues

Additional requirements in the Senior Position:

Long-standing experience within the pharmaceutical industry, CROs, regulatory authorities or academic institutions
Demonstrated comprehensive experience in complex situations that represent new challenges
