About the Venture
We've built a profitable and sustainable B2B SaaS product operating at the intersection of hospitality and property across Europe. We've found market fit and are already established as the leading player in our home market.

We're now looking to bring onboard a Chief Technology Officer to lead us through the next phase of growth and ensure that our engineering team, technical planning, deployment and strategy are ready for the next phase of growth as we launch new product features and expand into international markets.

About the Role
We have built a highly sustainable business complete with a senior, lean and efficient technical team.

As we prepare for the next phase of growth, we are looking to ensure the technical teams and processes are scaling efficiently to keep up with aggressive product and market launches.

We're looking to bring onboard a managerial Chief Technology Officer to report directly to the Founder & CEO and represent the Engineering and Technology departments across the company.

The CTO should be a technically capable but commercially minded individual with experience managing senior technical teams and a variety of competing priorities across the business.


What You'll Own
- ** Technical Roadmap
- **Represent the technical and engineering functions at a business level to own roadmap planning, timeframes and delivery cycles across the organisation and inline with product launches and new releases.

Delivery Management - Structure and prioritise developer time and resources to achieve the most critical and efficient outputs across the technical organisation.

People Management - Inherit a team of senior and highly capable individual contributors and ensure they are represented and aligned to the broader company goals and objectives. Set goals, manage output and remove blockers or obstacles to enable the team to focus on delivering high quality code.
- ** Vendor Selection and Management
- **Lead the decision making process of what we should buy vs build. Own vendor selection and management to achieve the desired output in the most cost & time efficient manner.

Product Alignment - Collaborate closely with the product organisation and ensure smooth communication, feedback and working synergies across the two linked functions

Communication & Stakeholder Management - Handle a variety of internal and external stakeholders including your engineering team, product teams, revenue teams, clients, leadership team and investors to manage timeline, deliverables and expectations of the technical teams.

General Management - help drive the business at a company level representing the technical and engineering functions across the business, C-suite, investors and key stakeholders.


About You


We're looking for a strong people manager who can enable a highly capable team to operate at their full potential.

The ideal profile will have a robust background in engineering to be able to make technical decisions regarding roadmaps, timelines, resources and prioritisation, but will focus their energy on leadership, planning enablement, stakeholder management and communication across the wider business.

We're looking for somebody with a technically strong background, but who thrives in translating business and commercial needs into accurate technical solutions and timely deliverables.


More specifically:

  • You have previous experience in a technical management role leading a team of highperformance engineers. You can build a culture that allows technical teams to thrive.
  • You have around 10+ years of experience in developing software and having a strong understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle
  • A track record of collaborating closely with product leaders and serving as the link between the business and the technical organisations. You are a strong communicator, project manager and are able to accurately predict and roadmap delivery and work to business deadlines
  • A confident but pragmatic leader with experience leading senior and expert level engineering teams. You can both represent the technical teams to the wider business and while holding engineers accountable for achieving goals and focusing on deliverables.
  • You have worked with our core technologies: ReactJS, Typescript, Javascript, Java, Kubernetes, Python, NodeJS, PostgreSQL
  • You are a fluent English speaker. German is highly advantageous.
