The Position*We are looking for a Senior Microsoft and VMWare System Administrator to join our ICT Administration team operating at our customer's site.

Responsibilities/Duties*- Operate, monitor, patch, upgrade, troubleshoot, maintain operational procedures for Microsoft Servers and Services:

Windows Server
Exchange on Premise and Exchange Online
File Cluster, Print Server, FTP Server
Active Directory, ADFS, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, External DNS
Application load balancers for Ldap, SMTP (currently using Kemp)

AzureAD, Office 36

PKI, Microsoft Teams, One Drive for Business, SQL Cluster
Windows Desktop Applications, Windows Desktop OS Deployment and Configuration
Operate, monitor, patch, upgrade, troubleshoot, maintain operational procedures for VMware Services:
VSphere, ESX, VCenter, Horizon VDI
Keep the Business continuity environment up to date
Regularly test the business continuity activation procedure and update it as necessary
Regular updates of the OS in order to keep the systems under support at all times
Ensure timely response to security audit findings and identified vulnerabilities
Upgrade the Server OS regularly in order to keep the systems always under support
Issue new Certificates when needed
Renew existing Encryption certificates before expiry
Install in the rack new data centre elements (servers, load balancers, etc.)
Keep the inventory of the data centre elements up to date
Decommission retired servers following procedures
Plan and coordinate activities in the data centre
Ensure timely response to security audit findings and identified vulnerabilities

Qualifications/Experience

A university degree in Computer Sciences (or equivalent).
At least 7 years' experience as IT Systems Administrator, in a customer facing role.
Applicants should have good communication and negotiation skills, be able to work in a diverse team environment and accomplish goals in line with team objectives.
Experience operating critical IT infrastructure environments, working in mixed operating system and database environments, managing technical service transition, creation and maintenance of support documentation.
Interesting to learn and dealing with modern technologies.

Essential Skills

Expert knowledge and significant work experience of Windows Server OS (Microsoft Windows 2012 R2/2019), system administration and customization
Expert knowledge and work experience of VMWare systems (VSphere, ESX, VCenter, Horizon VDI)
Demonstrated ability to have completed complex technical projects.
An advancedlevel command of English and an ability to present output in a clear, concise and understandable way, both orally and in writing
Proactive approach and take ownership of problems.
Ability to manage assigned activities/tasks in line with deadlines.
Requirements analysis and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently.

Desirable Skills

Proposing ideas, participating in designing and implementing of critical IT infrastructure changes.
Experience in package management and distribution tools (SCCM, Microsoft Intune)
Experience with Data Centre administration (racking hardware, inventory management, etc.)
Service Management Experience
ITILv3 Foundation Certification
Windows Server
