    Our client, an international institute helping shape the strategic agenda for governments, businesses, the media and experts across the world is looking for a Communications coordinator to join their Berlin office.

    In this role you will be supporting the implementation and contributing to the evolution of the institutes' communications strategy by ensuring that key messages are effectively communicated, the European Office's activities are promoted to key audiences, as well as working with colleagues in the London office and co-ordinate communications activity in the European office.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Write a variety of different content to support communications and engagement efforts, including newsletters, website copy, event invitations and press releases.
    • Assist the Communications and Engagement team in developing and implementing a communications strategy designed to further the objectives of the Institute by engaging with a variety of audiences.
    • Work closely with the Digital Communications Manager to develop online activities and creative content across the Institute's website and social media accounts (Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube etc).
    • Monitor analytics and create a range of reports to support evaluation of communication activities.
    • Work closely with the Press and Media Relations Manager to respond to media inquiries and maintain relationships with journalists.
    • Support the planning and running of press launches and other promotional events, ensuring that the Institute's European activities are consistent with others across the Institute.
    • Provide translation of communication and engagement collateral as required.

    Key Requirements:

    • Excellent time management and organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Experience 2+ years in a communications or marketing role.
    • An analytical mind and ability to think critically with high level of attention to detail.
    • Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to turn complex information into engaging and readable content.
    • On-line and social media communication competencies and capacity to extend the Institute's outreach to external audiences by employing relevant on-line applications and performance indicators/ metrics.
    • Excellent editorial skills.
    • A self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Familiar with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and capable of creating visually compelling presentations.
    • Experience in the use of CMS - preferably Sitecore.
    • German and English speaker with strong verbal and written English skills.

    This is initially at 12 month FTC role, with the possibility for further extension.

    Full-time, on-site in central Berlin (hybrid)

    40,000eu per year.
