HEAD OF INTEGRATION EUROPE, FLEXIBLE PACKAGING

We are looking for an experienced, business savvy Head of Integration into our Flexible Packaging Europe region to lead a smooth, fast and sustainable post-merger integration in a geographic area covering Germany, Turkey, Italy and Czech Republic, in alignment with Huhtamaki Group strategic goals.

The role reports to SVP Europe, Flexible Packaging and can be based in any European country where Huhtamaki has operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will lead all relevant post-merger workstreams to ensure that commercial, operational, and financial synergies from the integrated European business are realized.

Such workstreams include commercial, supply chain, sourcing, and operational activities.

You will work closely with the teams on the manufacturing sites in Germany, Turkey, Italy and Czech Republic in close collaboration with the centralized Segment and Group functions to achieve strategic goals.

Key responsibilities include

Creation and delivery of a disciplined integration strategy, process and value delivery plan for European region
Preparing and aligning a strategic plan to 'power up' the European region with the objective to fully utilize production capacities and capabilities
Operating a PMO which monitors all relevant activities mentioned above
Driving activities to the desired result, taking immediate action in case of delays or deviations from the plan or budget
Acting culturally conscious, facilitating communication and recognizing performance, progress and team effort
Facilitating harmonization of processes, integration or migration of IT systems and new ways of working
Conducting effective internal and external communication with internal stakeholders as well as senior leaders. proactively communicating progress and deviations
Acting as challenger and facilitator, organizing support and resources
Building, developing and retaining a highperforming crossfunctional team on regional level and supporting capability build in all sites
Fostering and driving bestpractice sharing and benchmarking to achieve operational excellence (safety, quality, service level, productivity)
Contributing to strategic options 'where to play' and 'how to win' and executing growth plans accordingly
Ensuring that Huhtamaki values, ethical standards and legal compliance is followed and adhered to across whole organization and in all activities, and the company's interests are protected by developing relations and representation with industry bodies and contacts

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS AND QUALIFICATIONS
This role requires both commercial and operational excellence as well as strong leadership and change management skills. In addition, key success factors include

Experience in the wider or global packaging area or any other sector that shows similar challenges like high volume, multiple SKU's and competitive markets
Proven track record in general management or integration roles related to multi country and market covering role
Prior experience in postmerger integration
Strategic abilities, create the roadmap for future (able to see big picture, catch the essence from scattered information)
Intercultural compatibility, persistence and drive
Able to bring people together to work on common initiatives, able to inspire, influence and lead also indirect team
Collaboration & networking skill ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, comfortable working in a matrix environment with strong stakeholder management skills
Communication excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Resilience able to drive improvements and deal with resistance
