Job Description Summary:

Scope:


The AC Solutions (ACS) Senior Tendering Leader in the Central Europe (CE) region oversees all the ACS tendering activities in the region, ensuring the delivery of winning good-quality, profitable, compliant and on-time proposals to our customers.

The Senior Tendering Leader ensures that the ACS offers are competitive and executable, in order to meet the regional goals in close collaboration with the sales team.

Management of the Bid team and all the Functions involved in the preparation of AC Systems offers in the region are a key responsibility.

The role reports hierarchically into the regional Commercial Sales & Tendering Executive.


Major Responsibilities:


  • In strong collaboration with the Regional Sales team, you will lead the Bid Management Teams and all functions involved in the elaboration of ACS offers from the Go/No-Go process, to the final submission and transfer to the execution teams
  • Explore alternatives (technical solutions, sourcing, innovative content...) allowing to differentiate our proposal and to increase its competitiveness
  • Actively work with internal & external suppliers, Sourcing & Engineering, and optimize technical offers from all participating parties
  • Lead the Tendering Teams (+10 members, currently growing) to produce a fully compliant and Customer acceptable offer along with providing the final BOQ and costs associated with Civil works, Electro-Mechanical works & Logistics on time
  • Lead the Tendering Teams and develop execution strategies for the offered projects including partnering strategy, development of project organization chart, and corresponding staffing plan
  • Drive coordination with the Sales / Commercial teams to identify the selection of consortium partners.
  • Support Sourcing in the identification, qualification and selection of Major Subcontractors
  • Lead the Tendering Teams to ensure target costing of deals are established, based on targetwinning price and agreed margin, with proper benchmarking and challenge of costs
  • Propose postmortem analysis (Win / Loss), and defines / drives corresponding action plans for continuous improvements of our solutions/ customer approach and to increase our win rate
  • Provide feedback of the customer and market needs received from the team when elaborating/presenting the proposals: technical gaps, commercial needs. Share winning arguments
  • Comply with Quality Procedures, work instructions and processes. Reports or resolves any nonconformances and process in a timely manner
  • Set objectives for each team member and ensures their alignment with the regional goals. Develop and coaches the team

Qualifications / Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Extensive experience in similar position, incluiding +5 years in a leadership position in sales / tendering or operation
  • Expertise required in tender management, operations, customer relationships, team management and development
  • Ability to work in international and matrix organizations.
  • Willingness to travel (3040% visiting our sites)

  • Strong knowledge of the Grid Solutions business & products and EPC turnkey solutions
  • Strong business acumen and discipline in managing the day to day business
  • Distinct leadership and communication skills
  • English skills mandatory & German desired
