Our Business


Treasury and Chief Investment Office ("TCIO") is a division with the Firm's Corporate Sector that is independent of the Corporate & Investment Bank and all customer-facing lines of businesses.

TCIO's core mandate is to manage Firm's liquidity, structural interest rate, and Foreign Exchange risks.

In addition, it manages the wholesale funding and capital raising activities for the firm, as well as the daily cash position.

The group oversees the funds transfer pricing policies and works closely with the various lines of business in establishing the principles of how funds are valued across the firm.

TCIO has a team based in Frankfurt responsible for the liquidity, funding and interest rate risk management for the firm's European Union subsidiary JPMSE.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Analyzing, understanding and managing the liquidity, funding and Interest Rate risk profiles of JPMSE, in conjunction with financial, legal, regulatory, market and operational constraints
  • Support the planning and execution of the ILAAP and CFP (or equivalent documents), working with multiple business lines and functions across the Firm to coordinate input into these documents
  • Providing input from a Liquidity and Treasury perspective into ICAAP, Recovery and Resolution Planning documents
  • Coordination of regulatory engagement in relation to all Treasury activities in JPMSE
  • Detailed understanding and ability to explain succinctly the content of liquidity and interest rate risk regulatory returns and key drivers

Qualification Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in finance/economics/mathematics or comparable field
  • First financial services industry experience preferably with a focus on liquidity management, balance sheet, business analysis, treasury experience
  • Ability to operate in an environment with a high level of scrutiny and be able to collaborate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders across levels
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills and the ability to convey complex issues succinctly
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across various lines of business, legal entities and regions
  • Ability to excel under pressure, prioritize effectively across multiple tasks and bring tasks to closure
