    The Opportunity
***: Reporting to the Global Business Development Director, the Senior Business Development Executive - Europe will be an integral part of the global business development team and a driving force in developing and closing new business and helping to deliver the future success of the company, with specific responsibility for the European market.


Responsibilities:


  • Build and develop new business within the target market area to achieve short, medium and long term revenue targets for the business
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities and maintain sales forecasts
  • Play a front line role in customerfacing activities to negotiate and close major contracts
  • Proactively manage several sales opportunities simultaneously
  • Play a lead role in developing Clevel contacts / decision makers in major customers to drive market traction
  • Lead the preparation of RFP's
  • Conduct well thoughtout relevant presentations to prospective clients
  • Contribute to establishing worldclass sales processes (forecasting, pipeline management, territory management, account planning etc. ) to provide a solid platform to support the growth of the sales organization
  • Contribute to a positive and highperforming culture in the team
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows
  • Maintain all sales pipeline data up to date (Salesforce), presenting sales stats at regular sales conference calls with global business development team
  • Provide advice and insights to senior management on expansion from immediate target market area to develop the business in the DACH region

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline or relevant experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years successful sales experience in BPS, creative, artwork and/or software
  • Relevant Life Science or Pharma industry experience in the Europe essential
  • Native or fluent English speaker with German language an advantage.
  • Ability to generate own leads using modern tools such as Linkedin Navigator and also through more traditional methods and existing industry network
  • Previous experience of working in a structured sales environment
  • Agility to work in a fast growing organisation
  • Confident meeting prospective clients and presenting to them with a clientservice oriented mindset
  • Ability, confidence and motivation to work independently and remotely, as well as engaging with other members of the team and other global offices
  • Good understanding of CRM systems (Salesforce) an advantage
  • A strong, stable track record of target vs achievements
  • Must be willing to travel as required to meet clients, make presentations, attend industry events, trade shows and other travel as required
  • Proven experience in driving packaging / artwork deals managing multiple stakeholders
  • Experience of working remotely while maintaining relationships as part of a global sales team
