A Snapshot of Your Day
A critical vulnerability in a component we use has been published on the Internet. You analyze the actual risk in the context of our HVDC and FACTS plants and inform the affected customers.

Afterwards you plan the next steps from testing the provided security updates on our test field to the installation at the customer site.

In addition to the control & protection system of the substation, your focus is mainly on the automation technology of the technical building equipment.

Within the scope of a hybrid working method, you will be working either in the office in Erlangen, on the test site in Forchheim or from home office.

Particularly in the summer months, on certain days you will be working at various operating sites of our customers.

How You'll Make an Impact

Vulnerability analysis and testing of security patches
Installation of security patches on customer sites
Generating newsletters for our customers with the test and evaluation results
Creation of documentation, reports and maintenance of the asset management system
Development of special knowledge about the automation technology of the technical building equipment
Creation of concepts and test procedures for secure patching of the systems
Establishment and operation of a test environment in the Forchheim testbed
Close coordination with the engineering departments of the technical building equipment
Processing of current inquiries from customers, internal departments or suppliers
Consulting our customers in the area of IT/OT security
Supporting the sales department in bidding activities by providing technical knowledge

What You Bring

Completed vocational training or studies in the field of Automation Technology / Computer Science / Electrical Engineering or comparable
Several years of professional experience in the field of automation technology
Expert knowledge in using S7, PCS 7 or similar
Experience in the field of control of technical building equipment desirable (cooling systems, ventilation systems, fire alarm systems, platform management, etc.)
Ideally comprehensive knowledge in the area of IT/OT security
Willingness to work several days on customer sites (mainly in Germany), willingness to travel (30%)
Knowledge of power converter technology and power distribution systems is an advantage
Very good knowledge of German and English
Customer orientation, willingness to perform as well as intercultural interest
