You are a staff member of the Siemens Energy Corporate Commodity Management Team for Direct Material and a senior leader with experience in different SCM functions and business types in the Energy market.

Every day is an opportunity to develop the capabilities and approaches to drive the transformation of corporate commodity management in collaboration with senior leaders to the next level.

Together with the business and cross-function partners you structurally ensure the impact of commodity management and enable the team to be an integrated part of the business.

You and your team of experts and talents are defining the requirements for strategic initiatives for corporate commodity management, transfer these into actions and drive implementation together with other procurement functions and cross-functional partners.

Such initiatives can cover digitalization for commodity management, transferring business needs in strategic procurement strategies, organizational transformation programs, developing overarching material field approaches like supply chain designs etc.

We are looking for a leader with strategic and analytical thinking capabilities, passion for continuous improvement, strong communication and excellent project management skills who can interact with counterparts from board level to operational procurement.

Coaching and developing talent are your daily practice to be successful.

How You'll Make an Impact

Thought leader in procurement that can shape concepts for the future success of Commodity Management of Direct Material, as integral part of an integrated Procurement Business Function
Hands on mentality by personally committing and driving major strategic procurement projects an initiative together with a global team of procurement experts (e.g. Merger and Disinvestments, Reorganization, Process and Tool Role Outs, Training and Organizational Development)
Active role model that is passionate and persistent in leading transformation activities in the Direct Material arena
Proactively initiating, driving, and completing improvement projects (evolutionary and innovative), addressing the WHAT and HOW in close collaboration with partners and cross functions
Convincing others and ensure excellent and customer group oriented internal and external communication with all shareholders and stakeholders on DM related activities
Act as a coach and mentor for your direct reports, enable them to reach targets and activate people's passion
Engage regularly with Corporate and Business Areas Procurement Leaders to ensure progress of DM programs and initiatives are supported and rightly prioritized
Assist Procurement Leadership Team with facilitation and preparation of strategic workshops

What You Bring

10 years experience in strategic procurement functions (commodity management, CVE, SQM, FE) and/ or corporate strategy ideally in different business types (Service, EPC, Product and Project business) or different Energy related sectors, e.g. wind power, preferably with Consulting Background
Knowhow of procurement related processes, systems and tools
Leadership experience > 5 years of international teams incl. people development
Experience in setting up and managing crossfunctional initiatives
Strategic thinking, analytical, social and strong communication skills,
Knowledge of cost and risk management as well as commodity mgt. and product knowledge
Expert in new ways of working (Agile / Design Thinking)
Strong facilitation and consulting skills
