At Evotec's headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, the Global Tax Team is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated

Steuerreferent / Tax Specialist National Tax - GER (f/m/d)

Full-time or part-time and permanent


Your key responsibilities:

  • Preparation of the monthly indirect tax filings (advance turnover tax returns and annual returns, EC sales lists, intrastate) as well as the capital gains tax returns
  • Preparation of the tax balance sheet, determination and posting of tax expenses, tax provisions and deferred taxes
  • Timely review of tax assessments and preparation of legal remedies
  • Support with tax audits, tax compliance and digitalization processes
  • Further development and standardization of tax declaration processes
  • Preparation of tax analyses and tax calculations
  • Independent research and development of solutions to tax issues
  • Performing SOX controls and supporting in SOX related documentation
  • Support in further developing and adapting the Tax Compliance Management (e.g. due to changed legislation or reporting requirements)
  • Regular review and communication of changes in national tax regulations

Your ideal qualifications:

  • Master ́s degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field
  • Relevant professional experience in the tax area or finance and accounting of a mediumsized company or in tax consulting (e.g. tax clerk)
  • Strong knowledge and experience in IFRS, HGB and German Tax Law
  • Familiar with regulated environments and its required reliable documentation but convincing with handson mentality and pragmatic approaches ensuring compliant results and solutions
  • Selfdriven with a highly motivated personality
  • Ability to prioritize and experienced in managing conflicting interests
  • Strong presentation and communication skills on all hierarchical levels
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint as well as Microsoft Project
  • Proficiency in oral and written English and German
