The Position:

We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the field of computational modelling of the Fill & finish process of biopharmaceuticals

As project lead and principal investigator, you will drive a modelling project in the department of Pharmaceutical Development Biologicals.

This position is limited for 2 years.

Tasks & responsibilities:

As a scientific expert, you will support pharmaceutical process development and process transfer activities for aseptic manufacturing of biologics by use of predictive computational tools.
You will be responsible for supporting development related projects with your modelling expertise and through knowledge transfer.
As project leader and principal investigator in your field of expertise, you will drive the implementation of your results.
The position will involve transparent communication with process experts about model/data requirements and potential model limitations.
In addition, you will publish results in peerreviewed journals and present work at scientific conferences.

Requirements:

Doctoral degree in (Bio)process engineering, biotechnology, physics, or similar discipline with proven expertise in mathematical modeling of fluid mechanics and heat/mass transfer to predict process variables or in datadriven statistical approaches
Strong practical experience in data processing and programming, e.g. in Matlab, Python, R
Fundamental technical understanding of aseptic fill and finish operations of parenterals is beneficial
Proven experience in conducting and publishing creative and innovative research projects.
Team player with excellent communication skills and ability to work in crossfunctional teams
Fluency in English, the ability to communicate in German as a strong advantage
