Job description:

Transport is responsible for around a quarter of energy-related CO2 emissions worldwide. To achieve the Paris climate targets, a transport transition and extensive decarbonisation of transport by 2050 is necessary.

The "NDC Transport initiative for Asia" (NDC TIA)", funded by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) supports partner countries in Asia to strengthen their commitment to climate-friendly transport.


Your tasks:

During the internship you will have the following tasks:

  • Supporting the external and internal communication of the "NDC Transport Initiative for Asia" project and the "Changing Transport" brand by creating and maintaining content for the websites and changing-, the social media channels and newsletters.
  • Supporting the planning and implementation of onsite and online events in the areas of communications, programme design, and participant management, in particular the NDC TIA Conference in June 202
  • Editorial planning and conception of impact content for online and print communication products (website, social media, publications).
  • Conception and implementation of online campaigns.
  • Internal knowledge management.
  • Other adhoc tasks related to the promotion of sustainable mobility.

Your profile:


  • You are studying (at least basic studies or Bachelor) and/or have a degree in event management, media, communications, environmental, political, or social sciences, urban planning or a related field.
  • You are exited about development policy and have a basic understanding of the challenges facing the transport sector in emerging and developing countries and/or knowledge of international climate policy and approaches to mitigating greenhouse gas emissions in the transport sector.
  • You have a high degree of digital affinity and enjoy working with social media.
  • You are able to implement creative ideas in an efficient, independent, and in a solutionoriented manner.
  • You have good organisational skills and enjoy being part of the preparation and implementation of events in new, partly digital formats with a handson mentality.
  • You have very good written and spoken English language skills (German and other language skills are an advantage). You have a very good sense of language and are adept at writing and editing texts. You enjoy writing.
  • You are experienced in using Office programmes (especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel); knowledge of design programmes such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is an advantage.
  • You enjoy working in an international and multidisciplinary team and have a good sense of for intercultural and targetgroup oriented communication.

We pay a monthly stipend of €2.064;
