A Snapshot of Your Day

Working in our Siemens Energy Group Tax team offers a broad variety of corporate M&A tax advice and group reorganizations.

Your day starts by attending a kick-off call for an M&A project, in which you take the tax lead.

In that role, you make sure to structure the transaction in a tax efficient manner while balancing business interests and mitigating risks.

In the afternoon, you participate in meetings, developing concepts for the integration of our renewable energy business working together with experienced colleagues from other departments such as M&A and Legal.

In any case, every day is different, brings new opportunities and challenging questions, which we are eager to solve also by fostering the exchange within our international tax team.

How You'll Make an Impact

Helping to build up our group tax department as well as being responsible for tax planning matters and tax optimization structures with worldwide significance for the group
Advising on M&A transactions and intragroup reorganizations focusing on the implementation of tax optimized deal structures
Providing tax related support in business valuations as well as giving advice on contractual agreements
Conducting tax due diligence and handling postclosing tax matters
Being involved in the corporate tax planning strategy, focusing on dividend planning, loss utilization concepts and Controlled Foreign Company (CFC) matters, global treasury, and crossborder financing activities

What You Bring

University degree in business administration, economics or equivalent with a focus on tax or being qualified as a German tax advisor (Steuerberater/in) or similar international degree
Several years of working experience in corporate finance in a multinational group or in a consulting firm with a focus on taxes and/or accounting
Particularly good knowledge in international tax (double taxation agreements, OECD guidelines, reorganization tax law, CFC matters, etc.), solid experience in M&A transactions and/or corporate reorganizations
Strong written and verbal communication skills in German and English
Exceptionally good analytical skills as well as capability to simplify and communicate complex topics, also to Senior Management
