Slowness is a collective of People, Places and Projects that reframe the way we live, work and interact.

Drawing insights from regenerative agriculture, adaptive reuse and the slow movement, we are currently developing places around the world that offer a deeper, more conscious and collaborative form of hospitality.

With the recent opening of the Reethaus, we are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented F&B Intern beginning in March 2024, to support the F&B Director and the Event Operations Manager.

The Reethaus is a semi-subterranean performance space, where Slowness hosts cultural and private events. It is part of the Flussbad campus which will encompass exhibition spaces, gastronomy, creative studios, and holistic health offerings.

Inspired by ancient temples, the Reethaus is designed with a 360-degree spatial sound system that creates ideal conditions for experiential installations, mind-body practice, holistic learning, and artistic performance drawn from Berlin's rich cultural scene.

Responsibilities:

Assist in managing daytoday F&B operations, ensuring efficiency and highquality service.
Collaborate with the F&B team to ensure smooth operations.
Assist in the planning and execution of events, including menu development and coordination.
Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency.
Work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage and the Event Operations Manager on various projects and initiatives to improve overall F&B performance at Flussbad.

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program & the internship is part of your curriculum.
Experienced in Service or Bar in a hospitality environment.
Deep knowledge of and genuine interest in trends within the hospitality world.
You identify with the principles and ethos of Slowness.
Energetic and detailoriented, with a passion for culture, design, hospitality, and travel
You take initiative, are solutionsoriented, and are a quick and creative thinker.
Your communication skills in English (written and spoken) should be excellent.
