Around 4 billion people have no access to electricity or modern cooking technologies. This has a dramatic impact on quality of life, environment, health, education and income opportunities. Energising Development (EnDev) is a multi-donor partnership, currently financed by the governments of Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and Switzerland.

In aligning itself with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the goals of the Paris Agreement, EnDev promotes sustainable access to modern energy services for households, social institutions and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

EnDev aims to achieve sustainable access to modern energy for more than 30 million people by 2025. EnDev commits to supporting gender equality as one of its cross-cutting commitments. By making energy more accessible, the practical needs of women and girls can be better addressed. Further, the productive use of energy has the potential to increase incomes and contribute to economic self-empowerment. We are looking for an intern to strengthen our communications and the programmes gender ambitions.


Ihre Aufgaben:


  • Create and manage content for various communication channels, such as the website, social media posts, newsletters etc.
  • Work with the team to identify and craft compelling stories and content that showcases the impact of activities in over 20 countries worldwide
  • Help to organize and manage events and webinars to promote the programme
  • Support for the implementation of EnDevs gender mainstreaming activities, including the coordination of Gender Action Plans as well as the content development and communication of the gender approach
  • Supporting the organisation of gender trainings for the whole portfolio as well as on HQ level to further anchor gender within EnDevs structures
  • General supporting tasks, such as preparing events, drafting communications, and maintaining databases

Ihr Profil:


  • Studies in social science, gender studies, media & communication sciences, journalism, other studies with reference to renewable energies/environment
  • You quickly and comprehensively familiarize yourself with new topics and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication to different audiences and channels
  • Experience in managing social media channels, website content, and organizing events (including digital ones)
  • You are motivated to drive forward EnDev's gender ambition
  • Interest in complex projects and multistakeholder processes is desirable
  • Fluency in English is required (minimum C1), proficiency in German, Spanish and French is a plus
  • Regional experience in Sub-Saharan Africa an asset

Die monatliche Praktikantenvergütung beträgt €2.064;
- (brutto).
