The Chair of Experimental Physics IV at the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy is looking for a


PostDoc (m/w/d) Experimental Solid-State Physics for 2 years, 39,83 hours per week, TVL E13:

We are looking for an enthusiastic postdoc who will strengthen our team in research and experimental development in the framework of our ERC StG "distort-to-grasp".

Your tasks:


  • Experimental research in the field of nematicity and superconductivity, with a focus on thermodynamic and transportproperties
  • Contribution to the development of a new capacitancebased highresolution technique targeting lattice distortions and elastic moduli of novel materials
  • Setup and operation of highfield Helium cryostats
  • Support of younger group members

Your profile:


  • High selfmotivation for independent research
  • Very good experimental skills in lowtemperature physics
  • Very good communication skills (oral and written) in English
