    The Role
    Amazon isseeking Senior Site Process Engineers to work in the EU ProcessEngineering (EU PE) team.

    The EU PE team is a group of operationalleaders driving process stabilization, standardization andcontinuous improvement for the EU Customer Fulfillment Network.

    This team is essential to establish best in class processperformance across all different direct and indirect processes,accelerate implementation of technological advancements and tostrengthen the technical acumen and process knowledge for theoperational leaders across the FC network.

    EU PE ensures theoperations teams are equipped with the functional expertise tosuccessfully deliver expected gains for technology advances andnetwork wide process improvements.

    The team drives process controland shifting mean performance with the outcome of minimizingvariation between shifts, building and region, to deliver strongperformance.

    The team works closely with Process System Engineering(PSE), ACES PM, Central Ops, launch teams, operations engineeringand reliability and maintenance (RME) teams to improve the inputmetrics for each of the process paths by prioritizing andchanneling resources.

    The Site Process Engineer worksalongside with the FC Senior Leadership Team, while keeping highcollaboration with EU PE functions.

    This role is responsible todeploy initiatives, build networking and relationship in the FC anddrive compliance for the initiatives within an assigned timeline.

    The Site Process Engineer initiates and implements EU wideimprovement activities.

    This role requires the ability todemonstrate ownership for initiatives, understand the initiativesin details, and influence to deliver meaningful results translatingto tangible productivity and efficiency gains in the FC.


    Some ofthe position's key responsibilities include:

    • Work onBack to Basics (B2B) initiatives identifying the top opportunitiesin the FC in comparison with the other EU FCs. Start from thebottom 50% processes, looking for the input metrics with thebiggest gap to Benchmark and implement the improvement action planin close collaboration with the local Operations Management teamfollowing the standard improvement templates.
    a. Overseethe FC improvement program and set focus on most important areas,based on the alignment with the FC Senior Leadershipteam.
    b.

    Dive deep into the process performance by usingavailable standard reportings or own create data analysis, call outin in the daily dive deep meetings and collect feedback from thelocal team to be able to convert these information into a tangibleimprovement plan, that matters to the FC.

    c. Review theopen Action Plans on weekly basis, engaging the FC stakeholders tocomplete the suggested actions and reach the desiredtargets.
    d.

    Collaborate with the central PE functions andother Site PEs from the same region to clarify any doubt processrelated and leveraging on their level of expertise.

    Benchmarkinginitiatives are highly recommended to further reduce variationacross the FCs.


    • Work on Continuous Improvement with theFC
    a. Drive network best practice implementation,leveraging local initiative led with local Ops and share them to EUPE for the review. Once approved the best practice will beofficially added to all EU Best Practice repository. This processis fundamental to help the top 50% FCs to reach Best In Classthrough the Variation Reduction process.
    b. Strengthenthe framework used to capture and scale FC innovation.

    New ideasand projects from the FC will flow through a standard process andpresented to ACES process SMEs for the review.

    c.

    Makesure that the big projects / ideas from the FC (10M$+ WW saving)are uploaded in the OP1 Project Intake every year.


    • Ownthe deployment of all the EU network initiatives assigned to theFC, making sure that they are executed with the right timeline,reaching compliance. Support the FC to commit on test and pilot forthe EU Projects in order to avoid delays and make sure thatprojects are then deployed and reviewed in all the EU FCs.

    Partnership with the FC Ops:
    a.

    Join the daily Gemba on the floor with FC Leadership in order tostay aligned with FC top issues and Associate feedback.

    b.

    Organize the weekly LSC Meeting with the FCLeadership Team updating the Team on EU Variation Reduction, EUProjects rolled out in the FC, FC Best practices shared at EU leveland FC local initiatives eligible for test or pilot.

    c.

    Support the Site Leader and the FC Senior Management Team creatinga strong relationship with them, which allows the Site PE to gaintheir trust and buy-in for all the initiatives.

    Beside standardtask, SPE can support Site Leader and Senior Ops on process relatedad hoc tasks from the FC accounting for less than 10% of theworking time.


    • Be ready to support or lead EU Projectsto expand the initial scope and coordinate more than one FC. Thisopportunity is really important to improve project managementskills and to deal with external stakeholders.
    • DuringQ4 you will be deployed to the site management operational team,based on the need of the building.
    • Ability to travel asneeded within your area of responsibility.

    Domestic and regionaltravel estimate average:
    0-10%. (Subject to change based onbusiness need).

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



    • Degree froman accredited institution
    • Experience in productionenvironment (manufacturing, production, operational logistics orcomparable experience)
    • Strong professional experiencewith Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizenmethodologies

    PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS



    • Proficiency in German
    • Relevant knowledge of change management and continuous improvementmethodologies
    • Excellent communication skills and detailorientation
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-pacedenvironment
    • Ability to motivate ateam
