You will be based in one of our German or Nordic offices and be part of the Build by McKinsey team in Europe.

What You'll Do:

You will lead the execution of digital product development and transformation projects for leading industry players in Europe.
You will be a core member of the McKinsey consulting team with responsibilities that range from shaping product vision, strategic designs, to managing and transforming agile product and leadership teams. In this role, you will engage in some of the most challenging business problems our clients are facing. These projects can range from rapid process reinventions at leading financial institutions, 'big data' analytics at large scale retail organizations, to consumerfacing app development for traditional industries. In each situation, as a Product Expert, you will typically be at the center of the problem solving, advising clients on how to successfully execute on their strategic vision with digital means.
You will be well versed in all aspects of the product, process and technology. You will be at the intersection of business strategy, client and implementation vendors and you'll be responsible for translating abstract visions into reality, while managing client expectations as well as vendor efficiency.
You will also be proficient in all aspects of the agile deliverables required for a technology team to build beautiful products. This includes handson development of wireframes, user stories, prioritization, product KPIs, monitoring /tracking, and gotomarket strategies.
Qualifications:
University degree in computer science, business, information technology, or other technical disciplines
4+ years of experience leading product efforts as a product owner and /or product manager in an agile environment
Strong product acumen to build an outstanding product vision and a product roadmap to achieve it
Deep knowledge of stateoftheart product management tools and frameworks, e.g. in creating wireframes, writing user stories and developing acceptance criteria with the team, refining product backlogs
Knowledge and understanding of best practices in technical product development (e.g. testdriven development, continuous integration, etc.)
Strong drive to relentlessly prioritize and align with team members, business and IT stakeholders to ensure highest value capture
Proficiency in approaches to user research
Excellent analytical skills to constantly analyze customer feedback and data
Strong coaching mindset, ability to train and develop team members into product roles, and understanding of a modern product organization structure
Excellent communication skills to engage with both senior business and IT executives as well as designers and software engineers
English fluency required as well as German for Germany
Willing to travel up to 60%, especially across Western Europe
