AERQ stands for the digitalization of the aircraft cabin and is a joint venture between LG Electronics and Lufthansa Technik (LHT).

We develop and manufacture innovative aircraft solutions designed to enhance the passenger experience and enable new perspectives for airlines.

Headquartered in Hamburg, we are utilizing expertise and experience from both of our founding members and are currently expanding our operations.

We are currently looking for a

Head of Quality, HSE & Configuration Management (M/F/d):
to join our Quality, HSE & Configuration Management team.

What you will do:

Establish and improve an Integrated Quality Management System. Develop, optimize and implement processes and procedures in accordance with the aeronautical requirements such as EN 9100, EN 9110, EASA Part 21/G, EASA Part 145, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 etc.
Take responsibility for internal, external, customer, supplier and authority audits. Develop solutions to resolve audit findings. Lead investigations to identify failures and find solutions for improvement. Plan and manage internal spot checks.
Define, implement and enhance interfaces to LHT Central Quality. Advise the management team in setting up the required organizational structure in accordance with the EASA & ISO requirements.
Manage and monitor compliance trainings of employees in collaboration with Legal as well as EASArelated trainings.
Ensure management of internal incidents and safety issues related to EASA regulations (occurrence reporting).
Ensure compliance with aviation configuration management requirements.
Maintain the HSE Management. Liaison with the work safety specialist (Sifa) and medical service at LHT.
Lead and develop employees of department: provide guidance and direction to team members, set goals and objectives, resolve conflicts. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.

Who you are:

You hold a University degree (Bachelor or Master), ideally in aeronautical engineering
You have multiple years of experience with quality management systems and their implementation
You have very good knowledge in EASA and international air law (EASA, FAA, TCCA etc.)
You have relevant experience in auditing as well as process management and process optimization
You have excellent analytical, conceptual and presentation skills
You possess strong communication skills through all levels of the organization and external functions
You have excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills
You have proven leadership skills to motivate, inspire and empower team members as well as set clear goals and expectations
You are proficient in English and German
