About You


You have deep experience in both the concept development and productization phases of battery systems and battery state estimation algorithms.

You are naturally curious and seek out valuable problems to solve. You like engaging with Customers to understand their real needs and supporting them through their development. You are a team player and know that innovation is a team sport. You have experience in managing teams and proven people leadership. You understand the value of a systematic development process and system engineering processes and tools.

The Role

This is a senior technical role within the Battery Systems & Technology group.

The role will lead a team of battery measurement, systems and algorithm engineers focused on the development and productization of novel battery state estimation algorithms.

The role requires strong technical leadership in defining and implementing a development, productization and support strategy for these products. Internally you will work closely with the Business Development, Software Development and Application Support teams. Externally you will be a key technical interface to the OEM Technical team.

You will be expected to provide technical leadership on advanced battery and BMS topics.


You will be expected to keep up to date with the latest technology advances, industry trends and customer architectures in battery and battery management and provide though leadership both internally and externally.

Participation on industry standards groups and further education is encouraged and supported. As is working with your peers across Analog Devices on initiatives and working groups.


Your Qualifications:
Minimum BS in Science of Engineering; MSEE or MSCE. PhD an advantage.


Experience and Skills Deep understanding of the working theory of lithium-ion batteries and up to speed on new chemistries- Experience at an OEM or tier1 supplier in a battery systems role- Management of a technical team- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to understand and clearly articulate technical issues to peers, Senior management, and customers- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills to work effectively with teams spread geographically- Nice to have Experience with measuring and using the electrochemical state of the battery for battery state estimation Experience of working in or building a battery testing lab Experience with battery module or pack assembly and testing Familiarity with sysML and tools like Enterprise Architect Experience with APSICE or other automotive software and product development processes Model-based design experience for BMS and algorithms in MATLAB or similar tools#LI-CO- For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc.
