    The RTG "Ambivalent Enmity" is looking for a journalist specialized in political/international conflicts and wars to award a Mercator Fellowship for a Journalist in Residence (f/m/d).

    Autumn/Winter 2024, duration of six weeks to three months

    • Working on a personal project, such as a book or essay
    • Sharing expertise with PhD Students through a workshop on "Writing on conflicts and enmity"
    • Conducting an internal colloquium on your expertise or the intersection of journalism and research
    • Participating in all RTG academic events

    Your profile:

    You are an experienced journalist in local or national media focusing on political/international conflicts and wars. You are eager to engage deeply in your project in collaboration with RTG researchers.

    What we offer:

    • An enriching interdisciplinary setting
    • Office space and access to Heidelberg University's research resources
    • A monthly contract fee of EUR5,000

    Applicants must submit a single PDF containing a CV, up to five relevant work samples, and a 5-page project proposal by May 31, 2024, to ambivalent.
