About Your Future Team:

The Solaris Finance department is responsible for the accounting, group consolidation, tax, financial and regulatory reporting for our growing business.

We have a central role in building state of the art FinTech products to empower our partners and achieve success.

We operate with the vision of establishing automated, data-driven, and scalable Finance processes.

We are looking for a talented Accounting Specialist with good knowledge in the booking logics of financial assets used in Treasury investments, such as hedge instruments and hedge accounting according to IFRS and German GAAP (HGB).

Your Role:

As part of the Finance department, you report to the CFO and Head of Finance.
Your main task is to implement and maintain an accounting logic and policy for hedge instruments according to IFRS and German GAAP (HGB) for our growing Treasury portfolio.
With the support of your colleagues in the Accounting team, you are responsible for setting up an accounting logic, running processes, and implementing proper documentation for the presentation of these positions within the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
You analyze and improve accounting processes in order to shorten time to close, improve controls, and ensure scalability as the business grows.
You ensure compliance with applicable Accounting, Tax, and Regulatory standards.
You collaborate closely with other departments, such as Treasury and Risk Management functions, to build correct booking logics and models in particular for financial instruments but also for other new financial products.

You studied business economics/administration with a focus on Finance/Accounting/Controlling.
You have at least 3 years of working experience in Finance, Accounting or Auditing. Experience with banking industries preferred.
You have a strong understanding of the applicable Accounting standards (IFRS, German GAAP (HGB)).
You would like to expand this experience in a dynamic, highgrowth company and make a significant contribution to the successful development and expansion of Solaris SE.
You enjoy projects that improve processes and controls and increase efficiency.
You have a detailed understanding of monthend closing processes.
You demonstrate strong ownership for your work, for driving project and process improvements.
You feel comfortable working with Excel, Word and PPT. Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
You have excellent communication skills and thrive on working with a large range of stakeholders, as well as working in a team and supporting team members in achieving tangible results and progress.
As a German company, we have to prepare our financial statements in German, therefore advanced German skills are required.
Due to the international environment, advanced English skills are also required.
