Tasks:

Your daily responsibilities in Editorial Content will consist of two components: research, including content database management, and editorial work — as detailed below:


Research & content management tasks:


  • Conducting desktop research using secondary data sources on the global, North American, and European markets in energy and natural resources with a specific focus on the electricity, plastic, and rubber industries.
  • Developing an understanding of valid data sources and potential data partners in the industry
  • Active generation of interesting and engaging research topics for database development in close communication with the team lead and fellow editors
  • Managing the SEOoptimized web content via the Statista Content Management System (CMS) in accordance with department goals and guidelines by monitoring usage and keeping the database up to date

Editorial tasks:


  • Creating and maintaining a host of editorial products, including individual statistics, statistics reports (expanded data reports), as well as topic
- and industry-specific written reports

  • Striving to develop an indepth knowledge of your industry topics

Requirements:


  • Successful completion of undergraduate studies (geography, chemistry, engineering, environmental studies, or other fields related to electricity or plastics are an asset but not required)
  • Exceptional written and spoken English skills—editorial experience in English is a bonus (Please send us your CV and cover letter in English)
  • Portuguese language skills are a bonus but not a requirement
  • Strong data literacy: the ability to describe complicated data in a concise and comprehensible manner
  • Structured, organized, and independent working style with attention to quality, detail, and accuracy
  • Knowledge and interest in electricity, plastics, and rubber industry trends
