sennder is Europe's leading digital freight forwarder. In a traditional industry, we are moving fast to digitize and automate all road freight logistics processes.

We are a growing team looking for a (Sr.) Director of Strategy, Planning, and Pricing to help us on our journey.

You would join our Business Operations team in the Amsterdam or Berlin office.

We value humility and we are as interested in your character as we are in your talent. Please apply, even if you feel you only meet part of our listed criteria. Diversity drives our innovation and we offer a collaborative, dynamic and international work environment. Just be yourself.

We are excited to meet you and for you to join us in shaping the future of the logistics industry in Europe.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director of Strategy, Planning & Pricing reports to the Chief Operating Officer and works closely with Operations leadership on a daily basis.

In this highly visible role, you and your teams will be trusted advisors to the CEO, COO, CFO and the Board of Directors, keeping them informed of performance trends and budget progress, and providing guidance on strategic decision-making.

You will manage two teams, both of which are central business functions that enable sennder's aggressive growth ambitions in the coming years.

The Strategy & Planning team is a key component of sennder's operations, working across all business teams to achieve company-wide goals.

They align Product, Operations, and Commercial teams through target-setting, operating models, analyses, and strategic projects.

The team is responsible for developing cross-functional strategies, leading planning cycles and ensuring business leads have ready access to actionable data and market insights.

In addition, they run analytical and strategy projects, including business intelligence and data products, and incubate expansion opportunities - anything else that helps sennder scale rapidly.

Three direct reports to you.

The Pricing team, led by the Head of Pricing, is responsible for guiding all pricing decisions at sennder, including both shipper pricing (contract RFPs & spot bidding) and carrier selling (bid acceptance guidance & Accept Now price setting).

They develop and implement business-wide pricing strategies and frameworks, and guide the development of our pricing product roadmap.

They partner with the sennAI Engineering team to develop proprietary ML pricing models, a true differentiator for the business and industry, and with Product Management to support embeded pricing products within sennOS to optimize or automate pricing interactions (e.g., APIs).
