    We are in search of a Head of User Research for our Product Design Department in the lively city of Berlin

    As the Head of User Research at Babbel, you will play a crucial role in refining our focus on the user, boosting our insight capabilities through deep empathy and a mix of qualitative and quantitative research methods. In this key position, you will lead efforts to streamline and enhance our insight gathering processes in collaboration with Market Research and Product Marketing teams. Come onboard to convert user data into actionable insights that steer our product decisions and innovations.

    You will:

    • Act as the main advocate for leveraging user insights and learner empathy to guide product decisions at Babbel, ensuring that user research shapes our strategic planning.
    • Create and constantly enhance innovative methods to help our teams uncover underlying user needs, strengthening our ability to effectively meet user expectations.
    • Promote user research throughout the organization, advocating for an evidence-based approach to integrate user insights into our operations and culture.
    • Collaborate with product leadership to pinpoint and prioritize research requirements for strategic initiatives, leading the research roadmap.
    • Effectively communicate the purpose and impact of your team, demonstrating how these efforts align with and bolster Babbel's broader mission.
    • Ensure top-notch quality in your team's deliverables by coaching and developing both individual contributors and managers, nurturing a culture of excellence and continuous enhancement.

    You have:

    • Demonstrated leadership in managing research teams, with a minimum of 7 years' experience in user research at a product-focused company.
    • Solid methodological expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
    • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholders.
    • A strong portfolio showcasing a user-centric design approach and a history of significant research findings in product development.
    • A passion for learning and advancing user research, along with a dedication to mentoring and developing team members.
    • A collaborative mindset and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
