We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and skilled Team leader for our Automotive Lubricants Laboratory team at the Shell Technology Center Hamburg (STCHA).

What's the role?

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Lead Automotive Laboratory Team for PCMO, Marine, HDEO, Motorsport and Transmission oil Technology areas incl. Efluid activities
  • Maximize the use of the Laboratory assets in the light of changing program needs and most efficient and effective delivery
  • Act as an active, reliable, and supportive player in the global automotive project development community and local technical service programs
  • Responsibility for the Quality & compliance performance of Automotive Lab, especially regarding the development of OEM quality standards (IATF, etc.), Shell policies and standards
  • Responsibility for a strong safety performance of the Automotive Lab operation
  • Responsibility for the automotive Laboratory operations in terms of Team management: e.g. talent development, skill pool development in accordance with developing industry standards and Capex investment
  • Act as a role model in terms of work ethic, HSSE behavior and CI

What we need from you

  • Proven Laboratory working skills/ experience in Laboratory testing
  • Lubricants or fuels analytical knowledge
  • Proven track record of team delivery on time and budget according to Shell and Industry Quality standards
  • Experienced in stakeholder management
  • Prefer team leader/ Line Management experience
  • Good verbal and written German and English skills
  • Given the nature of work for this role, you will need to be able to work in Hamburg office
