To strengthen and support our efforts, we are looking for a Technical Marketing Writer to join the team. The focus of this role will be on PhpStorm and Rust support.

At JetBrains, Technical Marketing Writers are part of the product teams.

Our release process is very open:
Technical Marketing Writers communicate directly with the developers and QAs to get all the required technical information. There are no intermediaries or long technical specifications involved.


Responsibilities:


  • Creating clear and technically precise marketing materials for IntelliJbased products releases, including web pages, blog posts, and videos.
  • Working closely with the product development team to get a clear understanding of how the product works.
  • Communicating with technical support and marketing to understand user needs.
  • Analyzing the needs of both new and experienced users and helping them learn the product efficiently.
  • Maintaining the product's technical documentation.

Requirements:


  • 2+ years of experience in technical writing.
  • Excellent written English.
  • Basic technical background.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Experience working with a large documentation base.
  • Knowledge of markup languages.
  • Experience with authoring tools, issue tracking, and version control systems.

Additional requirements:

  • An understanding of users' needs.
  • Good writing style and strong editing, formatting, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Java or other programming languages is a plus.
