    brown-, massvoll-geniessen.deMeaningful Work From Day OneYou will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of financial records complying with US GAAP, German GAAP, and B-F internal policies and procedures.

    Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, partnering closely with the business by advising on accounting and compliance matters and leading the implementation of new systems, special projects and accounting standards.

    This position will also support the Country Accounting Manager (CAM) in process improvements and ad hoc analysis for these markets.

    This position also partners with our Global Business Solution (GBS)


    Team, Procure to Pay (PTP) Specialists and Credit and Cash Application (CCCA) Analyst to ensure our backend operations are fully covered and accurate.

    What You Can ExpectFinancial Reporting Supervise General Ledger activities, including but not limited to monthly, quarterly, and annual year-end accounting and closing activities, and all internal and external reporting.

    Material Ledger monthly closing procedure (including review of the correctness COGS & Revenue recognition and SMOG Report Analysis)Manage all I/C recharges and intercompany billing and reconciliations by partnering with the Corporate Accounting and TaxFixed assets & Software management (including GAAP and EstG layers:
    Additions and disposals, depreciation and write offs, Annual physical inventory)FX revaluation - reconciliation between US GAAP and Local GAAP requirements and adjustments postingsMonth end close accruals for A&P, SGA, COS and Discounts in close cooperation with the Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance teamsMonthly/quarterly/yearly balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline, assist CAM providing comments to Balance Sheet Flux AnalysisReview expense classification/ treatment and provide guidance to the PTP team and to the organizationDeutsche Bundes Bank monthly reporting Visual Lease Collection of car lease contracts, including changes, input and maintenance of car lease data in Visual Lease applicationCollection of office lease contracts, including changes, input and maintenance of office lease data in Visual Lease applicationReview of other types of leases to determine capitalisation for US GAAPMonthly review of the visual lease transactionsTax Compliance


    VAT:
    revision of prepared tax registers, calculations and backups of tax operations, preparation of reports for submission to tax authority on monthly basis; payments reconciliation and EC Sales List (Zusammenfassende Meldung) submissionStatutory reporting preparation including but not only (Annual Report, Financial statements and Notes), including required adjustments in between the local Stat and GAAP ( Yearly Basis)

    Statistical reports requested by the Statistical Office (Monatliche and Jährliche Handelsstatistik, intrastat declarations for import and export)Preparate explanations upon the requests from tax authority related to VAT, Corporate Income Tax and other types of statutory reportingCollaboration with Tax advisers and External Auditors (in time review and submission of the tax returning's and reports)In time payments to the Governmental officials Taxes and other kind of the FeesCalculation and submission of Corporate Income Tax provision for US GAAP purposes (Tax Package)Preparation of the Tax Questionnaire (with the special attention to the information of the current and future changes in taxation, and evaluation of the risks we keep on our operations)Transfer pricing reports preparation Internal ControlsIdentify gaps and updating local processes & policies (in collaboration with Country accounting Manager)Developing & update SOP for the various accounting operations for GermanyProactively provide guidance and trainings to the local team on the BF policies, procedures targeted to increase awareness of the team about compliance and US and Local GAAPProcess ImprovementProactively look for opportunities to improve and streamline existing accounting processes to improve the quality of the financial data and reduce the time spent on recurring tasksAd hoc projectsLead/ proactively participate in process improvement and other initiatives in the assigned marketsAd hoc requests related to functional or regional activitiesWhat You Bring to the TableCollege/University (bachelor's or Equivalent) in Accounting or Finance, Business Administration or a related education (Bilanzbuchhalter) At least six years experience in accounting in FMCG, of which a minimum three years as a Senior Accountant, Chief Accountant or a similar positionExperience in an international company with a matrix structure A proven desire to improve processes and adapt well to an ever-changing, and sometimes ambiguous environmentA demonstrated proficiency and understanding of US GAAP + HGB GAAP and the ability to prepare financial statements and analysesFluency in spoken and written English and GermanThe ability to work independently and execute responsibilities in a high volume, deadline-oriented environmentThe willingness and ability to organize, implement, and complete multiple tasks with limited direction; can maintain accurate documentation and perform quality work with accuracy and attention to detailDemonstrated interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective work relationships with all levels of the organization Proficient in Microsoft Office productsWorking knowledge of the SAP environment (FI/CO/MM/BW)What Makes You UniqueCertifications:
