Global Technology, Architecture and IT Services offers a wide range of digital products and IT services within Schenker and together with our partners.
The project management office supports the strategic IT programs/projects driven by the department and closely engages with the program/project managers and other stakeholders on IT and business side.
The role ensures that programs/projects are in line with the Schenker IT&D governance standards, provides transparency into the planning, milestones, KPIs, etc., and supports in content-related deliverables on a case-by-case basis.
The current focus lies on steering the PMO activities of the global enterprise integration program and in this regard contributing to the implementation and migration phases of the new platform.
- Support the project steering and delivery of strategic IT programs in close collaboration with the responsible program/project manager
- Maintain uptodate project master data and ensure a high quality of regular and adhoc reports
- Manage all financial tasks throughout the project lifecycle like budgeting, planning figures, cost types, accruals, run rates, purchase orders, supplier/vendor invoice management, etc.
- Provide support and guidance in the handling of the project management and financial reporting tool to all relevant project team members
- Ensure a close alignment with IT Governance and the IT&D Transformation Office
- Support the identification, onboarding, and regular information of stakeholders impacted by the projects as well as setting up and maintaining adequate communication channels
- Keep track of and observe project KPIs and milestones and propose measures to reach those
- Contribute to the creation of project documentations like SteerCo presentations, project plans, open item lists, risk matrices, protocols, etc.
- Prepare, plan, and conduct project assessments as required and dependent from the project status
- Define standards and identify synergies across the delivery teams and programs/projects and collect and share lessons learned to optimize the project management maturity
- Support the onboarding of new project managers joining the department
Your qualifications
- Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Logistics, Business Informatics, Computer Science, or related disciplines
- Relevant working experience in demand, project, portfolio management and/or requirements engineering
- Ability and experience in overseeing, coordinating, and steering several tasks in parallel
- Selfinitiative, detailoriented with excellent analytical skills
- Strong customer orientation as well as business and system acumen
- Resultsoriented and flexible thinker able to operate in a changing environment
- Team player with very good communication skills
- Fluent Business English (written and spoken)
- Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Visio, etc.)
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2)
- Understanding of agile methods and delivery models (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
- Experience in IT service
