_ WHAT YOU WILL DO_


The future job holder will be part of a highly specialized controlling team and will be responsible for financial controlling along the accounting chain.

Furthermore, the expansion of the Financial BI's Reports (Business Intelligence) and the further optimization of the reporting system. In addition to financial controlling, investment and cost controlling are also part of the scope of duties.
The main responsibilities are consolidation, month-end closing and reporting for the entire expondo Group.

The goal is to ensure reliable information about the company's overall result-oriented situation with a high standard of digitalization and quality.

Specifically, the primary responsibilities of the future position holder include:

  • Monthly financial statements
  • Responsible for the preparation of the consolidated monthly financial statements according to IFRS with Lucanet
  • Reconciliation meetings with the local accounting departments
  • Monthly reconciliation of the Prelimerys with the Head of Controlling & Head of Accounting
  • Further development of optimizations between accounting and controlling departments

  • Overall responsibility for monthly Management Group reporting and quality
  • Further development of the reporting(s) with the Head of Controlling
  • Optimization and creation of processes for better data availability
  • Independent discussions of the Cost-Controlling with the different Departments.
  • Development of a new "Shareholder Reporting" and a "Management Reporting" in coordination with the Head of Controlling.
  • Contact person for internal as well as external stakeholders such as CFO or auditors and tax advisors for queries.

  • Ensuring the correct accounting of intercompany relationships in cooperation with the Operations Controller
  • Ensure and have overall responsibility for the creation of monthly and annual accruals in coordination with the Group's country accountings
  • Contributing to the budget process and playing a key role in defining target data for reporting purposes
  • Building value driver trees and optimizing value drivers in the business model
  • Data Quality
  • Collaborate with the BI team in the alignment of Financial Data from the Datawarehouse and Lucanet. As well as automations and reporting possibilities.
  • Validation of data sources and digitalization of information paths
  • Expansion of the existing data model and thus the BI capability
  • Further development of the controlling tool landscape
  • Analyses and costs
  • Cost analyses on product and/or site level in cooperation with Operation Controlling
  • Development and provision of any kind of financial analyses

_WHAT YOU BRING IN_

  • A university degree in business administration ideally with a focus on controlling or finance
  • 57 years of professional experience in controlling or accounting on a specialist position
  • A keen awareness of the operational success factors of the business as well as the corresponding processes and constraints.
  • The ability to recognize important interrelationships between shareholder(s), management, divisions and to be able to move efficiently within them, as well as to drive forward change processes
  • Communicative ability in storytelling and diplomacy always in the interest of the company
  • Data driven mentality
  • Be able to successfully operationalize corporate strategies and implement them under time pressure with a high degree of technical precision
  • Sufficient analytical and deductive skills to establish modern, Agile and, above all, digital commercial systems
