    Credit risks are the main focus of Munich Re's Financial Risk Division. In our Reinsurance team we go along with the international trends of the Trade Credit, Surety, Political Risk and Special Credit Product insurance industry. We analyze large corporate risks and exposed credit transactions across various industries and geographies, as well as new products, markets and developments.
    The worldwide Surety business presents a special challenge since it is not only very dynamic but the products and their handling do also differ from market to market. Over the years we have managed to position ourselves as an internationally recognized team of experts actively participating in core functions of the international Surety Associations, setting topics and driving relevant decisions. We use our diversified expertise to set international standards and to push innovation in a responsible way.
    For our Surety activities including innovation projects and our international network of specialists we are looking for an underwriter, ideally with an insurance and/or reinsurance background.

  • You perform the analysis ofSurety products across various industries, geographies and jurisdictionsComplex transactions covered by Surety- and Guarantee instrumentsCorresponding bank productsLocal regulatory frameworksCorporations including financial statement and industry reports, preparing credit submissions
  • You actively participate in theInnovation initiatives of our Surety business – also in combination with other MR lines of businessSupport of our internal surety network and our international association workClient- and market visitsConsultancy of Surety insurers regarding product and business developmentDue diligence of Surety companies

    • YOUR PROFILE

  • University degree in law or (business) economics
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in primary insurance or reinsurance for Surety Bonds/ Guarantees in different markets
  • A solid comprehension of supervisory and regulatory frameworks and bodies
  • Experience in credit analysis for corporates
  • Business level English and at least reading competence in Spanish
  • Analytical mindset and solution oriented approach
  • Strong team player and interest in working in an intercultural environment
  • Confident manner and strong communication and presentation skills
